I really need to get off my ass and start blogging on a daily basis. Are you picking up what I am laying down here homey?

Why So Long?

I wonder, if I could post a blog everyday. What would I write about, because, let's be honest here, my life is not that uber exciting. I fear I don't keep you up to date the way that I should, why, just look at the date of my last post. July 6, almost a two week lull. Two weeks is not so bad, I once went almost a whole year (but that's because no one knew I had a blog,)(also because my family is technologically challenged and would rather use the phone).

So, I think that in August, I will post a blog a day. That is my commitment to you. That gives me a little over a week before I have to post again. See ya!

The Blogoshphere

I trust everyone had a good Christmas. We sure did. Now that I am positive everyone has received our Christmas cards and all have our family web address, I thought it would be nice to post a little post about blogging.

My grandmother recently passed away, and while my mom was going through her things, she came across a calendar that my grandma wrote in everyday. Just a few lines about what went on during that day. It has proven to be a wonderful memoriam and an opportunity to glimpse the day to day that we all take for granted. Blogging is just an electronic version of that little calender. It can be whatever you want it to be, from an open forum for ranting and raving, to a family devotional, to an educational source for the world to learn from.

I personally utilize a blog tracker, bloglines.com, I can subscribe to any blog that has an RSS feed and only have to go to one place to see updated posts. This comes in handy when I have downtime at work and can play frivolously on the Internet.

I happen to like reading blogs about other's families, crafting and hostessing. You can, however, find a blog about any interest you may have from hunting, to gossip, to fashion or even east Indian basket weaving if that is where your tastes happen to lie.

Any who, (yes WHO, not HOW) if you look to the right, there are a few of my favorite reads, if you like them, add them to your brand new bloglines account, and then add some more of your very own. You can even start a blog of your own, I will link to you on my site.

If you need help, let me know that too. I am a technology wizard (Pay no mind to the music player on my site that doesn't work. I am still working out the technological kinks) well, at the very least I am a technology apprentice.
