Virginia Beach is still technically the South. Which is very strange to me. I thought that after I left New Orleans, I was done with the South. Then again, New Orleanians don't consider themselves the South either. They are just a whole city unto themselves.
Being below the Mason-Dixon line, just a few miles from North Carolina, Virginia Beach is definetly the South. So I guess I shouldn't have been suprised, when over the weekend, I was singing along to the Wiggles with Emma and she looked me straight in the face and said in the cutest little southern drawl "Hush Mama." How adorable is that?
