Visitors

We are busy preparing our house for the grand arrival of Grandma and Grandpa fa-fa away. My parents will be coming to Virginia Beach next week for a fun filled time with Miss Emma for her birthday. I will certainly need a vacation after all the work we have done preparing for their stay and for Emma's birthday party which has a picnic in the garden theme. A fantastic adventure to Busch Gardens is also in the works, complete with breakfast with Sesame Street Characters. List of to-do's: Tile master bath shower. This two year process started when our current shower surround started leaking. When I say two years, what I actually mean is, one year eight months, as this is how long we have been using our other bathroom for all out bathroom necessities. But I'm not bitter at anyone about this (Dan)because it is finally getting done (Dan) and it looks beautiful, Dan. Steam clean carpets (because we have a very bad kitty).Thorough cleaning of all cabinetry,appliances and fixtures. Making home made party decorations and cake for party. Washing of all linens in the house and a freshening of the guest room (Thank you Yankee Candles)Do all laundry, even the stuff ends up on the floor in piles for many months, due to washing and inability to hang. My laundry has been washed and tossed several times. I can't just seem to make it to the closet for hangers, it's so...far...away. Floor, so much more efficient. Clean deck and back yard. Grocery shopMow lawn,(Dan) What? I'm not gonna do it. Relax, enjoy parents stay, remember that the house only has to stay clean for one week!
